Frictional Corrugated Plates

Description

Two corrugated plates use to demonstrate friction

Two piece of corrugated plastic are mounted on wooden plates, line them up along the curve surface with each other creates sufficient amount of friction to demonstrate static and kinetic frictional force. Ideally, a tall table is needed for kinetic phrase of frictional force plot. - Hook the end of a plate (with string) to force probe meter to measure withheld frictional force. - Use a ring stand with pulley, attach a bucket (over a string) to the end of force probe meter. Slowly pour water into the bucket, and you'll see the force increase until the plate slips. Last Updated: Jan 13th, 2015
