This power supply is most used in demonstration that requires a large amount of current to go through the wires For example For the railgun demonstration, the power supply is used to offer a current at 60 A or 100A in order to accelerate the steel rod. For the wire attraction and repulsion demonstration, the power supply offers current at 60 A to go through the wire to produce stronger magnetic field around the wire to show better attraction and repulsion force, and remember the current only go through the wire for about 7 seconds and turn the power off and wait to turn it on again.
