Newton's Rings
Description
Show interference.
Purpose
To show interference effects produced by small differences in path length.
Apparatus
Newton's ring apparatus, lens, air wedge, mercury vapour lamp
Setup
An air wedge and a Newton's ring cell are available to show interference fringes and rings when used with a mercury vapour lamp. Updated on: 06/13/13
