This is an old revision of the document!
When the ends of the wire loop are connected to an ammeter and the loop is waved over a magnet, the ammeter will register an induced current in the wire. There is a large version of the loop that works with the earth's natural magnetic field.
This product is used to demonstrate Lenz's law. When there is a change in magnetic flux through the loop, a current is induced in the loop. Ammeters can be found in the green closet, while magnets can be found in the red closet and at the back of the room near the soldering irons.
