Bicycle Generator

Description

Ride a bike and generate electricity.

An alternator is connected to the back wheel of a standard mountain bicycle through a roller system with belt. On average, a first year student should able to power a 60W light bulb, while some students might able to do 100W or more.

Please ask the demo room coop to set up this demo for you, as the battery to initialize the alternator needs to be charged. Moreover, the proper method of installing the bike is needed to avoid injury during pedalling.

Bike, and Alternator attached to a wooden frame are stored in the storage room up the Hebb Thre Belt, Battery, and Bike Stand are stored in the middle cabinet.
