Demonstrates the magnetic field around different current configurations

To demonstrate the shape of magnetic fields for the three plates provided

- 3 prepared lucite trays - Iron filings - Small compasses - 10 V - 100A power supply set along with the projector as a full unit

Three lucite trays are provided with three configurations set into the trays. These trays are placed on the overhead projector above the power supply unit. If using iron filings, sprinkle these into the trays and connect up to the 10 V power supply. A maximum current is marked for each tray and this should not be exceeded. Small compasses can also be used but the current required in the wires is much smaller when the compasses are used. Updated on 01/19/16
