Geiger Counter
Description
Show radioactivity. Classes Used: Phys 102
radioactive decay
Purpose
To demonstrate a Geiger Counter in operation when tested with samples of radioactive ore.
Apparatus
Geiger counter (Two , radioactive ore (Pitchblende)
Setup
Show the Geiger counter click away when placed near radioactive cores. Slowly move the meter away from the cores and note how the signal falls off.
