As an analogy demonstration for the teaching of “magnetic domains”. To show alignment of domains and the effect on them of induced magnetism or of a magnet swept across the array.

Magnet array, Bar magnet, overhead projector

Place magnet array on the overhead projector and approach a large bar magnet to one end or sweep a bar magnet across the array.
