Description
Demonstrate buoyancy and density Classes Used: PHYS 101
Purpose
To demonstrate how density affects buoyancy
Apparatus
Bowl with Beans Ping Pong Ball Steel Ball
Setup
- Insert ping pong ball deep into the beans. - Place steel sphere on top of the beans. - Shake bowl and sphere moves to bottom and ping pong ball moves to the top. - The density of the beans is somewhere in between that of the steel ball and ping pong ball. Updated on 06/10/13
