A series of glass tubes with different internal diameters, all connected by a bigger glass tube at the bottom. Comes with a plastic stand.
To show capillary action in narrow tubes and to show that the rise is greatest for the smallest diameter tube for water.
Fill apparatus as shown with coloured water, and set up a close-up camera (if necessary) to closely compare the height of each column of water. Pascals principle dictates that the water should be level in each tube, but the capillary effect causes a visible deviation from this.
