===== Description =====

A Variac.((Apparently a trade name that's short for 'variable autotransformer')) Can be used as a variable-voltage AC power supply. It has a transformer inside of it and works by using a wiper (think like potentiometers) to vary the ratio of the primary to secondary coil.
