Power an LED or a calculator using a lemon as the only energy source!     Classes Used: Phys 100



Power an LED or a calculator using a lemon as the only energy source! Leads used in this set up are magnesium ribbon and copper strapping. Attach the copper to the positive lead and the magnesium to the negative lead.  Two lemon batteries, in series, are needed to run the calculator and the LED (quite dim, need to turn off lights for best viewing). One lemon can be cut into pieces to make multiple battery cells.
