===== Apparatus =====

Ping-pong balls and support, [[demonstrations:5_electricity_and_magnetism:5k_electromagnetic_induction:5k40_motors_and_generators:wimshurst_machine:start | Wimshurst Machine ]], Horizontal projector    

===== Setup =====

1. Move the balls so that they are just touching. Attach one terminal of Wimshurst Generator to the balls. The balls should repel about 5 cm. The frame is set up in front of the horizontal projector, or on camera.

2. Separate balls and connect them to different terminals and observe attractive force. They will bounce against each other as they are attracted then discharge.

3. Can repeat attractive force experiment at different separations to show that force increases as separation decreases.
