To demonstrate mechanical resonance.  



===== Apparatus =====


Self-contained pendula and stand apparatus  



===== Setup =====


One pendulum is set into vibration and the other pendulum of the same length will begin to swing in resonance as energy is transmitted along the flexible support. If other pendula of different length are also hung from the same support these will not show resonance.
